Smart Materials

At Cornell University, I took a course called “Hybrid Body Craft” in which we learned how to design on-body interfaces using smart materials. We explored the user experience of these interfaces while considering cultural and social perspectives of on-body interactions. In the pictures below, I made a thermochromic ink mask. On the inside of this face mask, thermochromic ink changes color at 80 degrees Fahrenheit, so that the user can see their breath.
