The challenge
Delivery robots must coordinate with customers, remote operators, pedestrians, traffic, and the built environment. Much of the experience happens before anyone touches a screen.

Human–Robot Interaction / Coco Robotics / field UX
A case study in the UX of sidewalk delivery robots: navigation, telepresence, expressive signals, and intuitive handoffs for people encountering a robot in public.

Delivery robots must coordinate with customers, remote operators, pedestrians, traffic, and the built environment. Much of the experience happens before anyone touches a screen.
The portfolio organizes the problem around navigation, telepresence, and delivery. It asks how a robot attracts attention, explains what it is doing, and remains understandable when a remote operator is involved.
Use expressive sounds together with warning lights, make onboarding intuitive for first-time users, and design the transition between autonomy and teleoperation as part of the experience-not as an invisible technical detail.
