Art

I am an art generalist. I started with drawing people in environments because of a school assignment (draw 100 people in a semester). Here I fell in love with color. So I moved to painting abstract blocks of color. I hung these paintings up in the PhD lounge at Cornell Tech to brighten the communal space. Then I moved to film photography when I found my mom’s film camera in her closet. I loved capturing friends’ portraits and taking pictures of strange things in nature. Then I moved to Santa Cruz, California, where I wanted to build community. At the farmer’s market, I met a ceramicist who told me about his studio in a greenhouse! I made spoons and bowls and many wonderful friends there. In my spare time in Santa Cruz, I picked up watercolors, which I loved using in nature, because of its portability. See below at some of my work!
